Total Delivery Time = Production Time (3-5 business days) + Shipping Transit Time
1. Shipping Destination Restraints
Domestic Shipping Only: At this time, Own Leather only ships to addresses within the United States.
No International Shipping: We currently do not offer shipping or delivery to international destinations outside of the United States. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our global friends.
2. Order Processing & Production Time
Made-to-Order Handcrafting: Every item is built specifically for you. Hand-cutting, stitching, and applying custom engravings or logos takes 3-5 business days before dispatch.
Daily Order Cutoff: Orders placed after 4:00 PM CST will begin their processing and production journey on the following business day.
Changes & Cancellations: Any requests to modify custom designs or shipping addresses must be submitted via email within 24 hours of placing your order. After 24 hours, production begins and changes cannot be made.
3. Shipping Options, Rates & Delivery Times
We ship all packages from our Louisiana workshop via reliable commercial carriers (USPS, UPS, or FedEx).
Free Shipping Promotion: We are pleased to offer Free Standard Shipping on all orders over $250. This discount is automatically applied at checkout when your order subtotal reaches $250 or more.

Tracking Your Order: As soon as your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number. Please allow 24–48 hours for the tracking information to update on the carrier's system.4
4. Shipping Delays & Risk of Loss
Estimated Transits: All delivery windows provided at checkout are estimates only and are not strictly guaranteed.
Carrier Delays: Own Leather is not liable for unexpected delivery delays caused by shipping carrier bottlenecks, severe weather, holiday peak volumes, or customs processing for international orders.
Transfer of Ownership: Once your handcrafted package is transferred to the shipping carrier, the legal title and risk of loss or transit damage pass to you, the buyer.
5. Wrong Addresses & Undeliverable Packages
Customer Responsibility: Please double-check your shipping address carefully before completing your purchase. We are not responsible if a package is undeliverable due to missing, incorrect, or incomplete address information.
Reshipping Fees: If a package is returned to our studio by the carrier due to an incorrect address, you will be responsible for the additional shipping costs required to resend the package to your corrected address.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY
At Own Leather, we pour immense passion, time, and hard work into crafting every single piece that leaves our studio. Because our products are made-to-order and handcrafted specifically for you, we have established a clear Return & Refund Policy. We provide all customization services completely free of charge, and we hope this policy ensures transparency while honoring the dedicated labor that goes into our artisan goods.
1. For Personalized & Customized Products
Manufacturing or Printing Errors: If your product arrives damaged, defective, or with a personalization error made by Own Leather, we will gladly accept a return and provide a full refund or exchange.
Customer Preference Returns: Because these items are uniquely personalized to your order, we cannot accept returns, refunds, or exchanges if you are simply unsatisfied with the product (unrelated to a production or printing flaw) or if you change your mind and no longer wish to keep the item.
Cancellation Window: You have 24 hours from the exact time you place your order to request a cancellation. After 24 hours, production on your custom item begins, and the order can no longer be cancelled or modified.
2. For Blank & Non-Customized Products (Plain Items)
If you purchased a standard, plain item without any custom modifications, you are fully eligible for our standard return policy:
30-Day Return Window: You may return or cancel a non-customized item within 30 days of delivery.
Product Condition: To be eligible for a return, the item must be completely brand new, unused, and in its original condition and packaging. Items showing any signs of wear, usage, or modification will not be accepted.
3. How to Process a Return or Report an Issue
If your item is defective, or if you need to return an eligible plain item, please follow these steps:
Contact Us via Email: Send an email to contact@ownleather.com within your eligible return window.
Provide Details: Include your Order Number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos showing the manufacturing defect or damage.
Review & Return Instructions: Our team will review your request within 12–24 hours and send you detailed instructions and a return shipping address if approved.
4. Refunds (If Applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected by our studio, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, your refund will be processed immediately. The credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, and the refund processing time will typically take 3 to 5 business days depending on your financial institution.
